I stared Biotin on recommendation from my physician. I was adimant about not wanting a prescription so she told me to go the natural route. These are a very big, very high dose. It may not be necessary for everyone to use quite so much at a time. It’s been okay for me, but I’ve had friends who’ve had adverse effects from high dosings but have had good results on small capsule amounts.

First week I didn’t have any noticable changes. Late in week 2, I could see more durability in my finger nails. The change was more pronounced in the third week and I noticed I had less dry/cracking skin around my elbows and feet. The noticable shine in my hair came around week 4. I’d say my hair is average, but I’d begun to lose a lot of it brushing/combing in the morning. That seemed to diminish around week 4 as well. The reversal to thickening my hair didn’t seem to be happening though. I ran through the biotin for 8 weeks and the existing results maintained but there was no further improvement or thickening of my hair.

A little searching online led me to add an additional hair growth supplement to the mix. Hair Growth Essentials and Biotin together (Hair Growth Essentials + FREE Maximum Strength Biotin Tablets) were where I really noticed a substantial difference in the consistency of my hair. Not only was I losing less, it felt heavier. Within the first 2 weeks it looked healither. It had some volume instead of being so dull and lifeless. I think that comes from the folic acid aspect of the supplements. Either way, my skin, hair, and nails benefited quite a bit from the two together. I’ll be a continuing user for some time to come.

Been using Biotin for several years now, mostly for thinning hair and finger nail strength. It is really working for me.
